Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate (II) Is One Of The Oldest Public Housing Estates In Hong Kong. The Estate Was Built In 1967, Comprising About 4,500 Households, With A Combined Population Of 11,000. Over 30% Of The Residents Were Elderly, Living Either Alone Or As Couples. It Was Listed As One Of The Estates To Be Redeveloped In The Course Of The Five-Year Program Under The Comprehensive Redevelopment Program Of The Hong Kong Housing Authority, And Was Originally Announced To Be Cleared In 2003-2004.
