It Is Situated On A Hill Near The Town Centre And Is Overlooking The Labe River. Originally It Was Built As A Fort During The Seven Years’ War, Later Rebuilt To A Renaissance Castle In 1673, 1788. Restored To Baroque. Once The Home Of Bohemian Kings, Later Functioned As The Administrative Centre Of The Thuns. In A Modern History It Became A Military Garrison For German And Soviet Troops.
