Welsh Royal Bank Of Scotland Branch - A Welsh Version Of The RBS Name For A Welsh Branch In 2011. Destined To Be A Thing Of The Past, As The English And Welsh Branches Of RBS Are Due For Sell-off. For The Uninitiated, The Government Support Package That Stopped RBS Collapsing In 2009 Resulted In A Requirement That The 300-odd Branches Of RBS In England And Wales Be Sold Off. The Plan Has Changed Many Times. A Planned Sell-off To Santander Collapsed. Then RBS Decided To Create And Float A New Standalone Bank Using These Branches, The NatWest Branches In Scotland And The Long-dormant Williams And Glyn Brand They Owned. By Summer 2016, Questions About The Financial Viability Of The Proposed New Business And The Difficulty Of Creating A New IT Infrastructure Saw The Plan Shelved. Branches Like This One Are Now Back On The Market - And May Yet End Up With Santander, Five Years Later On! Photo
