The Inner Basin Trail ascends from Lockett Meadow into the caldera of the San Francisco Peaks, an extinct volcano and home of the tallest peaks in Arizona. The first 1.7 miles of the trail winds through the extensive aspen forest flanking the upper reaches of the Peaks, joining the Waterline Trail briefly before following a jeep road into the caldera. The trail starts at an elevation of 8665 feet, gaining approximately 1200 feet over 2 miles on its way into the Inner Basin. Secret Canyon Trail

Secret Canyon Trail **Sedona Loop Hike - Secret Canyon, David Miller, Bear Sign, and Dry Creek Trails 2009-03-18: With the increasingly long days, we decided to hike the Secret Canyon, Dave Miller, Bear Sign, and Dry Creek loop for our midweek hike. The entire loop is approximately 6.5 miles long. The loop starts at Secret Canyon trailhead, following the first two miles of the trail through wide open canyon with fantasic redrock views. David Miller Trail comes in from the left right before Secret Canyon Trail turns to go deep into Secret Canyon. David Miller serves as a joiner trail between Secret Canyon and Bear Sign Trails. The trail is one mile long, with a moderately strenuous (but thankfully short, quarter mile) climb up to a pass. The views from the trail are absolutely fantastic, however the pass itself is fairly heavily treed, so be the best views are from the trail before reaching the pass. The trail on the Bear Sign Canyon side of the pass is steeper and the canyon is heavily forested. The descent from the pass to the canyon floor is approximately 200 vertical feet. Turning right on Bear Sign Trail leads 2.25 miles through the heavily forested, steep, narrow canyon. The canyon is very pretty, and a great hike for escaping the heat on warmer days. The trail drops down into the wash nears the end, joining up at Dry Creek Trail where two drainages meet. Veering left on Dry Creek Trail, the trail offers some nice canyon views before arriving at the Dry Creek/Vultee’s Arch trailhead after 0.75 mile. Secret Canyon trailhead is a mile hike down the dirt road from the Dry Creek/Vultee’s Arch trailhead. This is a deluxe copy of the Khamsah (quintet) of Amīr Khusraw Dihlavī (d. 725 AH / 1325 CE). The manuscript was written in nastaʿlīq script by one of the greatest calligraphers of the Mughal atelier, Muḥammad Ḥusayn al-Kashmīrī, honored with the epithet Zarrīn Qalam (golden pen). This copy of Dihlavī's Khamsah, likely produced in Lahore (present-day Pakistan) in the late tenth century AH / sixteenth CE, is associated with the patronage of Akbar (r. 963-1014 AH / 1556-1605 CE). The manuscript bears the names of a number of painters and illuminators. The illustrations bear ascriptions to the following artists: Laʿl (Lāl), Manūhar, Sānwalah, Farrukh, Alīqulī, Dharamdās, Narsing, Jagannāth, Miskīnā, Mukund, and Sūrdās Gujarātī. The illuminators are Ḥusayn Naqqāsh, Manṣūr Naqqāsh, Khvājah Jān Shīrāzī, and Luṭf Allāh Muẕahhib. The borders are all elaborately illuminated with animal, bird, and geometric motifs, as well as human figures engaged in such activities as hunting, praying, and reading. The lacquer binding, decorated with pictorial scenes, is contemporary with the manuscript. The Sea Cliff Bridge is a balanced cantilever bridge located in the northern Illawarra region of New South Wales, Australia. The $52 million bridge links the coastal villages of Coalcliff and Clifton. Featuring two lanes of traffic, a cycleway and a walkway, the Sea Cliff Bridge boasts spectacular views and is a feature of the scenic Lawrence Hargrave Drive. The Sea Cliff Bridge replaced a section of Lawrence Hargrave Drive that was permanently closed in August 2003 due to regular rock falls. A public outcry emerged over the road closure as Lawrence Hargrave Drive is the only road directly linking Coalcliff, Stanwell Park, Otford and Helensburgh to the northern suburbs of Wollongong. The bridge was officially opened by NSW Premier Morris Iemma at a 'ribbon cutting' ceremony on 11 December 2005, and has met with great public approval and increased business for the area's tourism industry. The Shrine of Our Lady of Ara is situated in the foothills of Sierra Morena, about seven kilometers from Fuente del Arco, in the Sierra de la Jayona. The landscape that surrounds it is of great scenic and archaeological wealth, surfacing mainly Roman remains, which leads us to suspect the possible existence of a pre-Christian religious and cultural center. The origin of the sanctuary is problematic because of the lack of documentation but there are several hypotheses as to the legend of King Jayon in which we talk about the conversion of an Islamic stronghold following the appearance of the Virgin or that relates the building of the temple with he existence of a Carthusian monastery founded early, though I can not discarded the possibility of the existence of a Roman or Visigothic nucleus in place, related to past mining in the area. There are others who point to the hypothesis that the work was sent to build by Don Garcia Ramirez santiaguista prior to the late fourteenth and early fifteenth century. The MV Tuhoe is an historic schooner that was built in 1919 and is now stationed on the Kaiapoi River wharf. This ship was secured in 2004 by the M V Tuhoe Kaiapoi Rivertown Trust to ensure this river icon remained in the town. During the season from October until June the following year the ship regularly sails the Kaiapoi and Waimakariri rivers. The ship is operated by a valued team of volunteers who willingly give their time to ensure that whoever sails on it has a most enjoyable experience. Departing from the Kaiapoi Wharf, you will cruise the lower Kaiapoi and Waimakariri Rivers for a relaxing and peaceful hour. Along your journey you may see lots of river activities including fishermen, trampers on the walkway, some bird life, stunning landscape scenes from the mountains of the Southern Alps to Banks Peninsula and also Pegasus Bay.

The MV Tuhoe is an historic schooner that was built in 1919 and is now stationed on the Kaiapoi River wharf. This ship was secured in 2004 by the M V Tuhoe Kaiapoi Rivertown Trust to ensure this river icon remained in the town. During the season from October until June the following year the ship regularly sails the Kaiapoi and Waimakariri rivers. The ship is operated by a valued team of volunteers who willingly give their time to ensure that whoever sails on it has a most enjoyable experience. Departing from the Kaiapoi Wharf, you will cruise the lower Kaiapoi and Waimakariri Rivers for a relaxing and peaceful hour. Inner Basin Trail No. 29

The Inner Basin Trail ascends from Lockett Meadow into the caldera of the San Francisco Peaks, an extinct volcano and home of the tallest peaks in Arizona. The first 1.7 miles of the trail winds through the extensive aspen forest flanking the upper reaches of the Peaks, joining the Waterline Trail briefly before following a jeep road into the caldera. The trail starts at an elevation of 8665 feet, gaining approximately 1200 feet over 2 miles on its way into the Inner Basin. Mid-spring blooming rhododendrons make their flower buds in July to September, but will not open until the following year. Many customers ask "Why didn't my rhododendron bloom? They had flower buds!" If you know what the difference between a flower bud and a leaf bud, you will not be surprised come spring as you will be able to recognize which plants have made flower buds the year before they bloom. On most rhododendrons, flower buds are larger, and round like a marble. Leaf buds are small and pointed.
