- Black rice: has a black thin bran covering a white grain. It comes from Bali, China or Thailan
GABA rice is a brown rice that have more GABA(amino acid gamma-aminobutyric acid) than usual.
It is made by putting brown rice in water, heat it with light bulb so the temperature stay around 30 to 40 degrees Celsius. Then leave it for 8-20 hours.
This will make the rice germinates, and cause it to have more GABA.

Mountain Pine Beetle Damage — Mountain pine beetle have been a natural part of the whitebark pine forest for many, many years. Their population size (and thus the severity of their damage) was naturally controlled by extremely cold winter temperatures. But recently, winter temperatures have not been cold enough to kill the beetles and their populations have increased. Whitebark pines also used to be healthy and vigorous trees because of ample precipitation and moderate summer temperatures. However, a changing climate has physiologically stressed the trees, making them susceptible to beetle infestations. This on-two punch makes it difficult for the trees to defend themselves. At USGS, researchers are monitoring the health of productivity of these forests to determine the importance and impact of changes in pine nut production on grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. The sheer size must have made it difficult to defend and it would probably have been much more a place to live and keep livestock secure. It is estimated that in some species the combined grip of each toe could support the weight of up to 40kg. That is equivalent to a small teenage human! The day geckos are a group of stunningly beautiful lizards, many with bright green, red, blue or yellow markings. The giant day gecko is no exception. It is bright emerald green in colour with large dark eyes and patches of red on the lower back and sometimes also on the head. These are large lizards with males reaching almost 30cm in total length. While not particularly aggressive, if handled incorrectly they will attempt to bite and have very powerful jaws. Stupidly we thought we just won,t let her out so no need need to spay her. WRONG! After recovering and completing nursing (with help of vetinary pablum) of the one little one we found, she got out once more. About two days later she returned; 9 weeks later under the dining room table she bore all 4 of our grandbabies; sleepy, slipper, bean, and Grey, Yep, we got them all. After ignoring our psych. results and sensible suggestions of getting them homes; which I had lined up by the way; she was spayed and still ours along with all the little ones; our ganbabies as we call them. Oh yea, we also have the Bobcat who you have a shot of with Birch (our best and Tad,s best dog friend. You also have a shot of the Bean; one of the ganbabies. OK, we're certifiable. Brumbies Grazing.

These are brumbies that have been traced back to the Lighthorse Brigade and were rescued from the Guy Fawkes National Park in N.S.W. Australia. Previously they had been shot because they were wild but that has now been banned in N.S.W. and these have been taken to a special training farm where they have responded to kind treatment and are a very good breed, winning awards at local shows. People can sponsor a horse and visit whenever or buy them trained up to whatever stage they want. Nile Crocodiles' brains and hearts are more advanced than those of any other living reptiles. They have changed little in 65 million years. In contrast lizards, they have a high walk.
