Description: Construction of the Wilson Building at the intersection of Ervay and Elm Street. Designed by the Fort Worth firm of Sanguinet & Staats, the Wilson Building is a French Renaissance / Second Empire style building, modeled after the Paris Grand Opera House. The building would eventually open in 1904, with the Titche-Goettinger department store occupying the basement and first two floors of the building. You have to look really close between the coral to see this common octopus. All you really can see is its two eyes. It wouldn't come out for a full body shot. Maybe next time.
