View from the first bench on the trail. Cathedral Rock Trail ascends one of the most recognizable rock formations in the heart of Red Rock Country. Many visitors hike the first quarter mile to enjoy the fantastic views from the first ledge, where the trail meets Templeton Trail. From here, the trail becomes as much a rock climb as a hike, requiring non-technical scrambling up rock faces and ledges to make it to the final ascent to the top. This similarity may be attributed to a connection with Ebbo, the former Archbishop of Reims, since he fled to Freising at this time after a quarrel with Charles the Bald. The canon tables, however, derive from a different tradition, and recall Franco-Saxon imagery in its use of interlace within the columns, and of acanthus springing from the top corners. Due to these factors, the manuscript had once been attribution to Northern France, but it is now understood to be one of a group of related manuscripts from Freising during Ebbo's tenure. The manuscript is complete, consisting of 215 folios, and includes readings for the liturgical year, Jerome's Plures Fuisse and Novum Opus letters, decorated canon tables, and Evangelist portraits. On December 10, 2016, the Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort opened the new Grand Canyon Express ski lift. As part of the celebration, the resort offered free rides on the new lift to members of the public, served hot chocolate and s'mores, and lit a bonfire to keep revelers warm. Offering skiing and snowboarding on Arizona's highest mountain, the SnowBowl ski resort is a full service downhill ski area. Runs range from beginner to advanced, so there's opportunities for everyone to have fun. The resort offers rentals, lessons, and childcare. The Snowbowl usually opens in early December and remains open until mid-April. In summer months, the Arizona Snowbowl operates one of the lifts as a scenic ride. View of Humphreys Peak, the highest of the San Francisco Peaks. The Peaks is an extinct stratovolcano in northern Arizona. On the southwestern side of the San Francisco Peaks, Arizona Trail Passage 34 drops gently from the junction of Aspen Loop, heading north across the top of Hart Prarie. The trail skirts the edge of the Kachina Peaks Wilderness, instersecting Bismarck Lake Trail approximately 2 miles from Aspen Loop. This section of trail offers fantastic views of the Humphreys and Agassiz Peaks of the San Francisco Peaks, as well as stunning vistas of Hart Prarie, Kendrick Mountain, and surrounding area. Apollo Bay is located between Wye River and Cape Otway on Victoria's scenic coastal route, the Great Ocean Road. As a popular tourist destination, Apollo Bay offers both swimming and surf beaches, as well as a large boat harbour and marina which is home to a major fishing fleet. The town's commercial centre, which features a good selection of restaurants and cafes, is situated along one side of the Great Ocean Road, overlooking a wide, grassy foreshore which fronts the main swimming beach. Secret Canyon Trail

Secret Canyon Trail **Sedona Loop Hike - Secret Canyon, David Miller, Bear Sign, and Dry Creek Trails 2009-03-18: With the increasingly long days, we decided to hike the Secret Canyon, Dave Miller, Bear Sign, and Dry Creek loop for our midweek hike. The entire loop is approximately 6.5 miles long. The loop starts at Secret Canyon trailhead, following the first two miles of the trail through wide open canyon with fantasic redrock views. David Miller Trail comes in from the left right before Secret Canyon Trail turns to go deep into Secret Canyon. David Miller serves as a joiner trail between Secret Canyon and Bear Sign Trails. The trail is one mile long, with a moderately strenuous (but thankfully short, quarter mile) climb up to a pass. The views from the trail are absolutely fantastic, however the pass itself is fairly heavily treed, so be the best views are from the trail before reaching the pass. The trail on the Bear Sign Canyon side of the pass is steeper and the canyon is heavily forested. The descent from the pass to the canyon floor is approximately 200 vertical feet. Turning right on Bear Sign Trail leads 2.25 miles through the heavily forested, steep, narrow canyon. The canyon is very pretty, and a great hike for escaping the heat on warmer days. The trail drops down into the wash nears the end, joining up at Dry Creek Trail where two drainages meet. Veering left on Dry Creek Trail, the trail offers some nice canyon views before arriving at the Dry Creek/Vultee’s Arch trailhead after 0.75 mile. Secret Canyon trailhead is a mile hike down the dirt road from the Dry Creek/Vultee’s Arch trailhead. The Flume Trail starts at the old Irving Power Plant site. The five mile long trail follows the old flume access road along the canyon wall above Fossil Creek, providing beautiful, wide-open views of the wilderness. There is an easy low-water crossing across flat, solid rock at the trailhead on Forest Road 708. From the trailhead, the trail heads up towards the cliff wall where informational signs can be found. The steep hillside offers little shade to the gently rolling trail. The trail ends at the Old Fossil Springs Dam, where it meets up with Fossil Springs Trail.

On December 10, 2016, the Arizona Snowbowl Ski Resort opened the new Grand Canyon Express ski lift. As part of the celebration, the resort offered free rides on the new lift to members of the public, served hot chocolate and s'mores, and lit a bonfire to keep revelers warm. Offering skiing and snowboarding on Arizona's highest mountain, the SnowBowl ski resort is a full service downhill ski area. Runs range from beginner to advanced, so there's opportunities for everyone to have fun. The resort offers rentals, lessons, and childcare. The Flume Trail starts at the old Irving Power Plant site. The five mile long trail follows the old flume access road along the canyon wall above Fossil Creek, providing beautiful, wide-open views of the wilderness. There is an easy low-water crossing across flat, solid rock at the trailhead on Forest Road 708. From the trailhead, the trail heads up towards the cliff wall where informational signs can be found. The steep hillside offers little shade to the gently rolling trail. The trail ends at the Old Fossil Springs Dam, where it meets up with Fossil Springs Trail.
